You are a beginner if you have never played the guitar before or if you have only played a few chords and then lost motivation because you didn't have the right teacher to help you and show you the way. Time's up! It's time to go get that guitar that has been sitting in the closet for too long now. Let's play!  

You are at an intermediate level if you have already been learning and playing the guitar or another instrument for a few years and have already acquired a certain amount of knowledge and a level of comfort in one or more musical genres. 

You are an advanced musician if you have already been playing one or more instruments for a few years.

Not only have you developed knowledge and comfort  in one or more musical genres, but you have also developed a deeper understanding of music, which allows you to create original content.
